I'm a lumberjack, and I'm okay, I sleep all night, and I work all day... I cut down trees, I wear high... Hmmm? Oh, sorry, got carried away, somehow. Dearest Monty Python.

Many, many Christians are hypocrites and liars. I don't associate myself with such people. You'll possibly be interested to know that I, a Satanist and an atheist, have many Christian friends, who are great people. But, of course, where I live, religion is applied very differently than it used to be, and very differently still from other places.

You see, we had, in the '60s, '70s, and '80s, a Tranquil Revolution, where we Quebecers did undergo major social changes. It was then we threw religion down the gutter. For most of us. I wasn't born, then, however...

Others still choose to believe, but it's a choice, and they're conscious people, who decided what they were, and what they believe. The only Christian (and all religions) bigots I have met so far are the ones I have met on Yahoo! Answers, and they are a great many to be bigoted.

Have a nice one.

Trying to speak from an objective point of view... the only people who have the power to dispel myths about Christians being hypocritical or liars are... drumroll... Christians who are not hypocrites or liars (or at least, who make every attempt to live their life without these bad things).

Well, it's pretty easy to explain why people say stuff like that.
Everyone needs to learn to not judge someone by a group they belong to.
If one person in a group screws up, the rest of the group gets punished.
Christians are called hypocrites because people don't understand the message trying to be sent. Christians do not claim to be perfect, nor any better than a non-Christian.
Christians should accept the fact that they are sinners, becaue we all are. Every sin is equal in the eyes of God, so being a Christian doesn't make us any better than other people.
Christians strive to not sin, but it is impossible. We all know that.
I don't know what else there is to say . . .hope I helped.

Until all Christians stop being both, then there's no way to dispell this. In my experience, it hasn't been a myth.

This is not myth. There are Christian hypocrites and liars. Not all of them are, but many.

i think of we are, as a results of fact no-one's appropriate. I actual have long been in touch approximately Christian hypocrisy as a results of fact that is as though each and every thing Jesus accused the non secular human beings of his day of additionally applies to us. There are tiers of hypocrisy, of direction, yet regrettably i do think of it applies greater to specific Christians than to the familiar individual interior something of the international. What happens then, in spite of the indisputable fact that, is that the "loud" all and sundry is the hypocrites, yet there are a number of "quiet" people who are not, so curiously like they are as a results of fact of a greater seen minority who're. nevertheless, that is considerable that i properly known my own hypocrisy too. What concerns me approximately that's what's occurring with those human beings. Christ supplies us a particular capability to enhance ourselves which they the two are not using or they are commencing from an fairly low base. i contemplate whether for some reason this capability is unavailable to them, no longer as a results of fact they are in some "inferior" class, yet as a results of fact there is a few thing incorrect with their Christian education, because it have been.

surely! :^D those who are hypocrites and liars aren't christians!

from matthew 25

41"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'

44"They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'

45"He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'

46"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."
