Put a leave in conditioner in your hair first, then a volumizing foam (mousse), dry it, spray in a heat activated styler (VERY IMPORTANT - THIS WILL PROTECT YOUR HAIR FROM THE HEAT, IT WILL STEAM WHEN YOU USE IT BUT IT WILL NOT CAUSE ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR HAIR) and use a very hot straightener(dont leave it in one spot or your hair will burn). Use a shine serum. Only use a little shine serum ( A pea size amount for thick shoulder length hair), rub it between your fingers and flip your head over and spread it thru your hair starting w/the underneath so if there is too much, the top wont look greasy. Your hair can't be bouncy and pin straight, it's not possible. Try straightening it with a big barrel curling iron for a little bounce, flip the ends under to make it look straight, or up just for fun

Okay, all the people who say "use a flat iron" are correct except for one very important thing. DO NOT USE IT WHILE YOUR HAIR IS WET, AND DO NOT USE PRODUCT ON YOUR HAIR BEFORE USING THE FLAT IRON. If you use it with wet hair the iron will steam your hair and it will break. Or melt. A lot. And when you use a flatiron with product in your hair (besides shampoo and conditioner), it will literally melt the product into your hair. You don't want that, you end up with plastic hair. So yes, use a flatiron, then use some shine serum (whichever you prefer). But don't chemically straighten it or you won't be able to do anything with it for ages.

For shampoo, I would recommend Pantene.
Its what professionals use. And I use it personally too. It really helped my hair
make sure you get the conditioner with it..
that matches the shampoo

FOr shiny, smooth, and straight hair permanently,
i SOO recommend MAGIC PERM
i got it where my maternal grandma and grandpa and relatives live(out of country),
...
OMG..
IT IS AMAZING!
While i was getting it, it took about 3 or 5 hours, because I had bleached highlights ALREADY, and it damaged BIG time to my hair and i didnt know that!
so that's why i suffered the heat for like 5 hours. no exaggeratin.
but anyway um lol
if you don;t have damaged hair, GO FOR MAGIC PERM.
after i got it
my hair felt like heaven its SOO SOFT, SMOOTH AND STRAIGHT and its just like feather except its so straight and extra soft.
Try it. ask your hair dresser about it

Use Biosilk Silk Therapy shampoos and conditioners. They are so good on hair. Expensive, though. And use an all ceramic straightening iron. I use True Ceramic Pro. Do a google search for "True Ceramic Pro" and see what comes up.

I use pantene restorative shampoo/conditioner and serum. Let your hair air dry if you have time. Then use a ceramic flat iron. I have dull, wavy, and kinda frizzy hair, and this always works well for me.

Garnier Fructis' Sleek and shine serum. It works best when you put it in wet. If you put it in dry, it feels greasy. Try a good straightener, too. Hope this helps!!
