Definitely some starcraft. I've been playing that ever since it came out. On and off for 8-9 years now. playing at least for a month every year. Thats gotta be a very crazy amount of hours. But i'm damn good at that game, so at least its not all for waste...haha...maybe...
a lot of time has also been spent on diablo 2. my one friend defintely played that almost everyday for about 2-3 years. then his other friend forced him to stop because it consumed his life. Blizzard is amazing.

Toss up between Diablo 2 and World of Warcraft
They're both crazy fun...and I love playing against other people.

Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Perfect Dark. Those N64 games were very addicting back in the day. Maybe Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas could fit in on this list.

Since I was a child of the 80s, and could play those old atari games forever (not having a job, family, responsibilities), I'd have to say it was probably Pac-Man or maybe Space Invaders.
