ScottFl007- I did think before I wrote...simply because I have a different opinion than you does not render me incapable of complex thought. I have worked in immigrant communities for years and am well-versed as to the benefits this country gains from the exploitation of immigrants. I am not implying we should have absolutely no cap on immigration; I am saying there should be more outlets for legal immigration for people who have no recourse and that at the very least we should stop shipping out companies to other countries so we can exploit people in their own countries who then, often, cannot meet basic needs. This increases illegal immigration to this country. We can't have it both ways.

Wanting to protect our borders is not being xenophobic. That is just a cop-out to excuse illegal immigrants for disregarding our right to sovereignty.

Uh...haven't seen any xenophobia. Yes, some few people are a little overzealous, but no one's xenophobic.

However, legislating restrictions on immigration isn't unreasonable, anyway. Do you really want to live in a nation with no rules for citizenship at all? How ridiculous would that be? People would come and go whenever they wanted free healthcare or something, and then leave just before it was time to pay taxes. Think before you write.

It isn't xenophobia. Stop spewing ignorant hatred and think for a second. Have you heard of 9/11? It should have taught you the lesson that all it takes to kill thousands of Americans is 19 nut-jobs. Out of 12 million illegal aliens, there are going to be a lot of nut-jobs. Since they are not going to be wearing a sign saying "hey, I'm a terrorist", it would be retarded to just let everybody in without some kind of system to check them out. Nobody is saying we don't want immigration, the vast majority of immigrants are not a problem. We just have to protect ourselves from the tiny minority that want to kill us.

I think anyone that uses that word to twist legitimate concerns over immigrations issue is an idiot and an illegal sympathizer. People that do this are an even bigger threat to this country than the illegals attempting to steal our sovereignty.

Mexican people were here before europeans arrived and your so arrigant as to even considering asking them to leave.
That's why the world calls you white devils and want to kill you.
Who are you to tell mexicans to leave there indigenous lands .
They have more rights to the lands than you and if you push the issue this will end up in a world court with all your dirty laundry revealed to the world.

I consider all xenophobia to be outrageous. It's the exact same thing as racism except you're using their previous location to judge them instead of their skin color.

I think there should be more of it and let it flourish. If you don't like We the People of the United States, too bad for you. If you want to call me racist for protecting our borders, be my guest.

You'll not get anywhere with me.

I don't see it. What I do see is a differing opinion on a very serious problem..... One opinion is that they want to reward breaking the law, the other is that they don't.

Outrageous, sad, and pathetic. I often wonder what the USA would be like without the "Blue" states.
