If people really think that illegal immigrants are like people breaking into your house, then maybe everyone should be allowed to hunt them down and shoot them. Maybe if you walk up to someone and they can't produce proof of citizenship or a valid visa within, say, five seconds, you can shoot them on sight. Does anyone think that's a good idea? Will this be a better country to live in after we massacre the 10 million or so people who are in this country without proper documentation?

Should we start with you? Because unless you are a Native American, you are essentially an illegal immigrant too. If this nation was built on theft of the land--which is was--then we are all standing on soil that originally belonged to somebody else. And while the U.S. has created quite a gigantic and impressive legal structure, it still doesn't account for the glaring fact that the entire thing is built on a major theft. If the British colonists--who formed the U.S.--hadn't massacred so many natives, and the descendants of all of those natives united in an effort to reclaim the nation, they would have a case that the U.N. would not have any choice but to try.
