Allowing the illegal immigrants to become citizens will make it so for them, why not everybody?

Actually, we already do, but it requires due process for becoming citizens.

The following reasons are why we don't just any old person through into the US:
1) We don't want drugs to get into our country.
2) We don't want terrosits
3) We don't want anyone that has a serious problem with the law
4) We want to control our own country
5) We like the idea of being able to feel free and safe in our country.
I also personally think that the US government needs to increase the border pertrol down south. I think that we are doing a great job to the north.

If we just opened them up, then there would be a major influx of people coming here to get away from their problems in their countries, then when all the jobs were taken and unemployment went through the roof, you would be right back on this site complaining about your tax dollars paying for their lazy a$$ sitting around all day not working.......brilliant idea idiot

I think the decision to require passports to cross the Canadian border is a slap in the face to our northern allies that have been our friends for 2 centuries all because GWB wants us to control us with fear and distrust. I'm proud of what America stands for but GWB actions and policies have made me feel ashamed of being American. Hopefully, when he leaves the whitehouse the shame will leave with him.

Because its never ending. No other country in the world is as easy to move to as the USA.
If you try that illegal immigrant BS in Norway they find you and ship you home.

I thought it was open to anyone. It's not like anyone is doing anything about them other than argue in congress, and they are about to take their 4 month summer paid vacation, so dont expect a resolution anytime soon
