is this some online web-based html chat? in that case, use some good pop-up blocking too... use the MSN toolbar, Google Toolbar, Yahoo toolbar, SpyBot Seek and Destroy, Norton Personal Firewall, McAfee Firewall or the likes..

If you have Internet Explorer, go to Tools, then Pop-Up Blocker and turn it off. To see pop-ups, which you'll have to with some web sites because they make their web pages pop-ups, hold the Ctrl key down.

Well, if you use Norton Internet Security like I do, you'll have to temporarily allow pop-ups for your pop-up chat windows to work. Or, you can tell you're computer that it's ok to allow pop-ups from certain websites, once you do that, you don't have to worry about it.
