He has just started a new job, things are still very stressful for him. Plus he has to go for a driving test this week. This would be an unplanned pregnancy, but we would still want the baby, it's just unexpected and maybe not the most convenient time, but we would still take the child as a blessing. Should i just wait until he's ready to find out before i take the test and just take all the proper precautions in the meantime-prenatal vitamins, no alcohol- or should i find out in secret and keep it to myself until then?

we already have a one year old, this would just be another addition to our happy family. i just don't know whether i should wait for him to get to a more relaxed, less stressed place and find out together, or if i should find out and tell him later. i'm sooo anxious

I recommend you take the pregnancy test and confirm that your pregnant. Once it is confirmed...I recommend that you tell your husband that you have something important to tell him... (Perhaps, after the driving test)... Then sit him down and ask him ...what would he think if you were pregnant? If he says that he is not ready, then tell him you understand that with the way the situation is right now.... Then tell him that you are pregnant and see what his reaction is. If you both want this child then things will work out.

Furthermore, in regards to pre-natal care, I recommend no alcohol, no smoking and eating healthy and taking walks for exercise (nothing too vigorous). Also, don't get on any pre-natal vitamins unless you confirm that you are pregnant.

Lastly, a baby is considered a blessing...so if your husband is having such a hard time then it is possible this baby will bring some good news and good things will happen which will ease your husband's mind. But first confirm if you are pregnant or not.

Take the test, be excited and tell him either way, whether it's positive or negative. The sooner both of you know, the sooner you can make decisions for that child, like insurance through his company, or if he's thinking of buying a new car, he would need to know that to get a car big enough/safe enough for a baby.

If you know and keep it a secret, he may be angry that you didn't tell him right away. I know my husband would be livid with me if I kept something like that a secret, even for a day.

If he's going to be happy and count it as a blessing, the sooner you know, the sooner the two of you can celebrate!

Good luck! I am excited for you.

Hope this helps,

Rebecca

It sounds like your husband is having a rough time. It is very thoughtful of you to be so concerned for him. Maybe this pregnancy is your blessing. Perhaps it would turn his spirits around to know he has a child on the way. I think you should find out for sure. If you are pregnant then you should plan a romantic evening and tell him he is about to become the best daddy in the world.

Either way won't change the results. The only thing you should consider is, is this something you want to experience with him, ie. the test results. If not, take the test and keep the results to yourself until after he gets his results then share the news with him. Good luck.

You should not wait for the last minute to check if you are conceiving because the baby needs nutrients and proper care at the early stage. Good luck!
