Can a section 8 voucher be consumed from a housing athority without notice in writting.

The city where u r moving to has to accept you that is called porting but in order to port the new housing authority has to say they will consume it.Meaning if you live in Louisiana the rent for a 3 bdr is $600 but you go to Tx and the rent is say $850. for a 3bdrm there is a $250. diff in what you where getting in La so someone has to "consume or eat up" that extra $ and the new HA if they have the funds can do that but you have to get it in writing b/c from the time they tell you they will port "accept you" until you actually move ,their finances could change-so get it in writiing or it is not valid.
