Here's the deal...Petsmart and Petco both have policies that they WILL NOT buy fish from people. The reason for this is because they both have garauntees on their fish, and 1. can't give that on your fish because their not from a supplier, and 2. if your fish are sick, they could kill fish that they already have in their system (i know i know, your fish are healthy, but they don't care)

Find a LOCALLY OWNED petstore...they will buy fish from you 9 outta 10 times because it'll be cheaper for them. But I can promise you not to expect much money-wise. If anything you can expect Store credit from whatever place takes them.

I don't know about Petco...but try calling a more local store. The smaller stores are usually more open to local breeders...I would just explain my situation to them. I'm sure if you can get a hold on a phone book to your area then just look under pets or animals, and there should be a large list of small pet shops. Usually called like Pet World or names similar to that.

in most cases yes they will buy them off you since it is cheaper on them than going to a company and buying them. i would call around first before dropping by with a bag full of fish babies first though. im not sure on what the price will be, all are different

I don't know about your area, but I have a owner here that occasionally buys baby fish from me. Call around and see!

it depends what pet-store, but yeah many pet stores will buy fish from independent individuals. Just talk to the manager and see what happens.

possibly, or give you credit towards other things.depends on how good of a rappor you have with the shop you deal with.you could also try ebay, but then shipping is dangerous for fish.
