Long, short, braids, color. I have short layers like my avatar, trying to grow it longer now cuz I miss being able to put my hair up.

I've worn my hair every way but dyed. I'm not insecure or anything, just want some opinions.

Long straight or medium length curly hair, or braid it. Definitely keep the natural color, otherwise a little brownish/orangish color. Please do not highlight it.

Please do whatever you feel is right for you and don't ask other types of people what they prefer in regards to Black women's hair styles. That is extremely weak. You will get some of the most ignorant and idiotic answers like what Jen said about braids. Braids are very beautiful and exotic and a product of a rich and diverse African culture. They have influenced many Europeans and the techniques have been used in hair weaving of White women's hair. Google the classic movie 10 ;starring Bo Derek. She sported braids back in the 1970's movie and my mom said a lot of White women jumped on the band wagon for awhile. Short hair is always hot on a pretty women and long hair can be annoying a not too hygienic. Good Luck.

Soft relaxed hair worn shoulder length or longer with great body. It must have volume, and softness. Very natural, especially black flowing soft curls or smooth straightness. Very 1930's and 40's. Like mine! Have fun! Wear what makes you look great and what your styling ability enables you to do.

I'm not Black but i would NOT advise you to get braids. I don't think they look good on anyone. I think you should grow your hair out long or get extentions, and maybe dye it depending on your complexion..g-luck!

Something natural. I'm not saying, "Be Nappy & Happy", I'm just saying that you don't have to throw weave in your hair or put on a wig to have an attractive hairstyle.

properly alot of the photos you have are not quite afro's. Like 2 of the MJ photographs are easily jheri curls without all of the moisture. anyhow if a guy can rock an afro, extra potential to him. It does not seem good on each guy nonetheless i think of the MJ jheri curls might want again. i seem good on him a minimum of!!
