I have not been able to find a hair dye that will stay in my hair. It always seems to wash out when I wash my hair. I have tried a bunch of different products both expensive and cheap. Does anyone have the same problem or any good suggestions?

The dyes I am buying are permanent but wash out completely after the first shampoo. I even went to the hair salon to have them do it incase I was doing it wrong or using the wrong thing it washed out too after the first shampoo.

some people's hair can't hold coloring and or perms. Maybe yours can't. I use "NICE AND EASY'. After 3 shampooings the color usually stops running and will stay in the hair for about 3 - 5 weeks.

Are you sure that the color you buy is permanent ? Because semi permanent will wash out after about 15-20 washes.I color my hair about twice a month (my roots) and I use anything from Schwarzkopf!!! (Igora works great) There is another comany called "Kreune" but a bit expensive and very hard to find but "really" good!!

I like Loreal Feria the best. It's about ten bucks and the colors are really vibrant. The only thing is, if you're trying to go red, it just doesn't last. I've been coloring my hair red for almost ten years, and I've never found one that doesn't fade. I tried using those glazes that John Frieda has out that are supposed to make your color last between colorings, but I haven't noticed any difference. Red just fades really quickly.
