You can post bail for this person. But if you were on the receiving end of the beating, why would you want to help that individual?
You need to clarify the situation more.

First you must ask the inmate if he knows wether or not the judge has set a bond for him. Sometimes a judge will be lazy on this and the person will have to unwillingly stay in jail for a day or two. If bond has been st, simply call a bail bondsman of your choice...tell the bondspeople of the charge and the amount of bond. Its simple. lol :)

You have two options.
1. Post bail/bond
2. Let them be in jail until trial. This is good if you know they did what they are accused of. It will help them appreciate freedom and make them control themselves.

You have to bail him out, get a bailer.
Sometimes the person cannot be release until he has been brought to justice.

Post bail or put your house up as bail (considering how high the bail is) and don't default.
