It sounds as though this was an unplanned, unwanted pregnancy, so she will need someone to just accept her and help her get through this. If she is not yet a legal adult, she will probably not be the decision-maker on what happens to her with her pregnancy. It was her earlier decisions that resulted in this situation, and while it might have been better if you had talked to her when you found out she was having sex so she could perhaps avoid the pregnancy, that is in the past. Help her now as best you can. This is a serious situation, and she needs to see a doctor NOW. If she is to continue the pregancy, she needs prenatal care so the baby will be healthy. If she will terminate the pregnancy, the sooner the better for both her and the fetus. There may be no good solution, but it is very important to do the best you can in a bad situation. Good luck to both of you, now and in the future.

Nope, you saying something probably wouldn't have prevented a thing. What is done is done and she probably has had sex on other occasions that would have led to pregnancy. You are not your sister's keeper. I am sure she knew the consequences of having sex. Congratulate her if congratulations are in order and prepare to be an aunt. That's about all you can do at this point.

I'm assuming she is young since you said you "caught her". It's not your fault saying something then or now won't stop the baby from coming. Be a sister, talk to her. Help her tell your parents. !!!! scary yes, but it has to be done. Get an adult involved, an aunt and maybe she can help tell your mother too. Just make sure you are with her, support her even if it's just with a hug.

When two people have sex, it doesn't mean the girl gets instantly pregnant. I'm do hope your sister or her bf were performing safe sex, that is with a condom or birth control. If not the chances of pregnency however higher....still, that doesn't mean she is. Keep this to yourself. It's better for you and everyone else as a secret.

Well, assuming you both are teenagers, congrats IS NOT the answer. Sure, it may sound pc, but let's be real about this, it sucks. It's harsh, but seeing it from my point of view (came from a teen mom) it sucks. You don't have to say anything to her. Learn from her actions and be there for support.

That is the best advice I can give you.

If she isn't pregnant, tell her she needs to be careful and consider abstinance. If not, she needs to use a condom EVERY TIME to protect from pregnancy and diseases like AIDS and herpes.

If she is pregnant, tell her you are disappointed in her for making such poor choices, but for the sake of the baby, you will support her any way you can.

So it sounds like she's young, you live with your parents and now you have gossip on her. Don't be cold towards her or anything, she'll need your guidance, especially if she's younger than you. Help her out.
