I purchased some 28lb inkjet paper for a color newsletter I am doing and I realized when I got home that I had picked up laser paper instead. Should I take it back or do you know whether or not it would work on a two-sided color newsletter on a HP DeskJet 970 Cse? Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes you can use laser paper in you inkjet printer. Nothing will happen to your printer. At work I sometimes have no choice and use inkjet paper on my laser printer.

I have used 28lb paper through my Cse all the time with no issues.. It well hold less paper due to thickness but I have never had a problem. Regardless of what it has said on the package I have use inkjet, laser and copier papers with no problems

the difference between laser and inkjet is mainly brightness, but the weight of the paper may be a problem 28 lb is much thicker than 20 or 24 lb.but for double sided printing it is a good choice

yes.... definitly.

Obviously bear in mind that the paper is engineered for a laser printer, but at the end of the day it's still paper.

I'm sure you will have no problems as I do this all the time.

you can use laser paper however it is usually more expensive than regular computer paper.
laser paper is usually a heavy bond and therefore a better quality of paper. the ink does not bleed through laser paper either.
good luck

Yes you can. I use plain paper in my ink jet all the time.

The only exception is if I am printing pictures then I use photo paper.

The only thing you might want to give it a little extra drying time before you print the second side.
