Yes and no the Zorro we know is a composite of several Mexican freedom fighters before the revolution of Spain from corrupt Spanish officials. Also it's a book too (I think) if you need more info.

"zorro" means fox in spanish, so , unless they are extinct and I´m not aware of it, well, yes , zorro exist.
