If you want brownies to die for, do this.

Mix into the batter equal parts of either milk chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate chips AND peanut butter chips or cups. Then when they are done baking and still warm, scoop on either vanilla or chocolate chip cookie dough icecream. Then top with hot fudge and either the chocolate chips or peanut butter chips. If you want to go all out or just to make it prettier, sift powered sugar or cocoa over it. Be sure to have an ice cold glass of milk to go with it, because it sure is rich. But it is so good, and sure to please!

Man, now I want some.

Go one better than the box. Seriously, go to Wal-Mart and get their Great Value Brownies which are packaged in a pouch. They are very cheap and make the best brownies I've ever had. They are never dry or hard and stay yummy smooth and soft. They are perfect the way they are or you can add nuts, raisins, coconut, dried blueberries, cranberries, razzberries, blackberries, chopped dried peaches, apricots, almonds, cashews, or try a small bit (about 1/4 tsp.) of brandy or another favourite liquior. Cinammon is great as is allspice. You can add a couple drops of lemon or other extract, too. Marshmallows are fun with a small amount of crushed graham crackers for s'more brownies. Also try serving them with a sliced banana on top, a bit of ice cream, whipped creme and hot fudge sauce fo a modified bananas foster. Make a strawberry sauce with fresh strawberries and sugar then serve on top with fresh whipped creme. I hope this gives you a creative jumpstart. The best thing is to just have fun with it. You truly cannot screw it up. A brownie is very versatile and forgiving. Just get the Great Value brand. They are simply the best ever. Enjoy and tell us how they turned out. If you've already had your evening, try this the next time and your guests will rave. Have a splendid summer.

Easy, sprinkle a 1/4 tsp of cinnamon in them OR if you have it a tbs. of instant coffee. It enriches the chocolate flavor.

If you are really feeling wild melt some cream cheese in the microwave. Mix in a few tablespoons sugar and some lemon or orange zest. Swirl this onto the top of the brownies before baking them and it is a fantastic way to liven up boxed brownies.

Follow instructions, but take them out before stated time. Brownies remain 'cooking' even after they come out of the oven.
And do not over mix as this will develop the gluten and make them hard.

if the mix calls for a 9"x11" go a little smaller say 8"x10 so they are a little thicker, use one egg not two, and watch closely when you bakeremove them when the edges start to pull away from the sides and a toothpick in the middle still comes out a little messy, don't over bake they get dry and crumbie if you do...after you remove themsprinkle the top with mini m&m's they will be the talk of the evening... good luck...

boxed cakes are 'you get what you pay for' so do no longer purchase the cheep save sort to maintain funds. instead purchase something from an excellent organisation like Betty Crocker or Pillsbury who've examined their recipes hundreds of circumstances of their kitchens. additionally, make particular which you do no longer cook dinner it at a too extreme of temperature because of the fact it may dry out your cakes. In different words, if it says to bake it at 350 ranges and you comprehend which you have a warmer oven, then attempt cooking it at 325 ranges instead, and don't overbake it. If it says to cook dinner for 23 to 27 minutes, then use the smaller quantity of time first and see whether it is finished particularly than the longer one. cakes are actually not any good overbaked. in case you go with for it to be chewier, use the egg quantity for the recipe yet once you go with for it to be greater cakelike, upload yet another egg. in case you like a take care of, you could upload a million/2 cup of m & m's or chocolate or butterscotch chips to the recipe and it won't replace the feel yet you could could desire to cook dinner it somewhat longer than the decrease time to make particular it is finished.

Line the pan with Reynolds non-stick foil. They will come out in one piece and when cool they will be easier to cut.
