I've had it for a few years and have begun professional and self help treatment a month ago. If you have bulimia, seek help, any kind of help! Bulimia is a disease that kills; it ruins your heart, muscles, digestive system, brain, everything actually. My doctor has predicted that I will need a new heart in ten years unless some miracle happens; I'm only 18 years old. Get help before it gets this far! It's a miserable existance; you'll be much happier without it. If you need help or encouragement, PLEASE contact me at ohthechemistry87@yahoo.com. Keep strong.

Actually yes. I am 47 and started when I was 17. Don't let people tell you that this is only a kid thing cause it's not. For years and years I would either starve myself or puke every meal. I never binged like the discription but made myself vomit each and every meal for years and years.
But for the past 2 years I have been bulemia free. I have been able to control this with changing my diet to Low carb. With this way of eating I no longer feel the need to make myself vomit as with this way of eating I can eat what I want when I want and never gain a pound. I no longer have to count calories. I do however stick tight to the legal foods but this works for me.

I can't say I have. However, if you are looking to get in contact with other people who have bulimia, many hospitals and clinics offer support groups for eating disorder suffers. Try calling your community hospital or a therapist to see if they can assist you.

My sister did. We thought it was over when she finished high school. She died at the end of her freshmen year, because we could not see what was going on. It you have it, see your doctor, this is a real disease.
