Oh, I saw this on The View today. You have a bunch of different candies set up somewhere at the reception and something wedding-ish to put them in. Then the guests choose what they'd like to have rather than get some of those cheesy favors that people spend a ton of money on and the guests leave at the table or throw them away when they get home. I can't figure out how you'd get everybody up there in an orderly way and it sounds way expensive to me. I had planned to donate money to the heart association in honor of my mother who died of congestive heart failure five years before, but that didn't work out. So we didn't do anything and it was fine.

I'm having a dessert buffet, but there will also be candy. Basically you have a table completely full of candy and desserts.

I don't where you are at or even if you're in the States, but in Las Vegas, they have a M&M store with M&M's in any color you can possibly think of... I've only heard of one person doing this, but the guests loved it! It makes a pretty cute little alternative to favors.
