The majority of black women, would agree that most black men prefer white women, for whatever reason, so is that why most black women want to have European weaves to make them look the part, i'm not saying these weaves dont look good on some black women, but not on all of them, or is it American black singers, or actresses that is the big influence? let me know your thoughts.

Well I wouldn't say most Black women want European weaves. Its some Black women. Actually in recent years a lot of Black women have been wearing their hair natural. And White women wear weaves too. They wear them so that their hair will be longer, it is a little easier to deal with, and it can protect your real hair from damage from constantly putting heat on it.

I would have to disagree. Most Black men do not prefer white women, the same way that most white men do not prefer Asian women. It's a matter of personal preference. Why do some men prefer thin women while others prefer curves? It's an individual choice not an entire population. As far as hair weaves are concerned, Beyonce, Tyra Banks, or Lil Kim are not the only women in Hollywood who wear them...Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie, Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, Carmen Electra, Jessica Alba, and Kierra Knightley have all worn weaves, the list goes on and on. Hair weaves are about personal style and versatility not race or ethnicity.

Ummmm what majority of black women? Not this one and not a majority of the black women I know would agree with your statement that most black men prefer white women. Most of the black women I know are wearing natural styles (locks, twist, braids, etc.) Not granted some do have european weaves and some DO have their hair processed to look more european. You are giving in to the myth that black women can't grow long hair, which is nt the case.

I have a question for you? If MOST black men PREFER white women, why are MOST white women, spending hours upon end in the tanning salons getting all brown and crackled so they look 40 by the time they are in their mid 20's; getting collegen and butt implants to make their lips and butts fuller; or getting perms and WEAVES to make their hair curlier and fuller? I'm not saying brazillian butt lifts and full lips don't look good on some white women, but not all of them, or is it just American white singers/actreses that ARE (not is) the big influence. Let Me know YOUR thoughts.

I am a Black woman and I don't agree with your opinion that most Black men prefer white women - it's not true. As far as the hair - I think us Black women want a variety of styles. For as many women who wear the weave - there are that many reasons as to why we wear the long fake hair. I can only speak of my personal experience and when I would get weave, it was to have a variety, try a different hair style, a different color. It was fun. I never thought I was white, I never want to be white, and I never want to try to be/act white. At this time in my life, I sport a short curly cut - I just had color put in 2 weeks ago. I am very much aware of who I am - a beautiful Black woman and I have a strong handsome Black man who loves me for being ME. (And he's never been with a white woman)

As far as Black American woman who act/sing - the world is their stage and they do fashion in a "bigger" way. White America thinks the blond, skinny, pale white woman is the ultimate "beauty". - NOT.

I would not agree that most black men prefer white women. Why would you think that black women are trying to look like white women because they have long hair weaves. I have naturally long hair that many mistake as a weave. I guess we should only have short, nappy picky looking hair with a bone stuck in our noses. All women want to look glamorous and sexy no matter what their race.

well ive heard of the 'black men prefer white women' maybe its because in THEIR eyes black women arent as pretty and perfect as white. i dunno but i HAVE heard of that they want a white girl since black women are mean and b****y, bossy, smelly, and rude. but i dont think thats COMPLETELY true. ive met some great black women throughout my life and A FEW fit those discriptions but not all. i think black guys listen to sterotype too much and may actually belive that. but ive seen black couples too.

And for european weaves? ive never heard of that. but
i guess SOME blacks could. i bet that some of the influence is from famous people. since white people want to look like some famous whites like ashley simpson, jessica alba, etc. so its probably true.
