Douching if done incorrectly can be harmful. You can push up the bacteria into your uterus and cause infection.
Douching is especially not recommended during your periods up to a few days after because your mucousal layer of your uterus will be raw and have the right conditions for new infection to sit.
I wouldn't suggest douching for someone with too much bacteria. What infection is causing too much bacteria?
A gynecologist will be your best adviser.
Treatment for bacterial infection is antibiotics...douche will not really help, unless the cause is treated.

No- if you have a bacterial infection, then you need to go to the doctor to determine what type of infection, so the proper medication can be prescribed. Not only can douching disrupt the normal balance of the body, but make it more susceptible to infection- this is why it is not recommended anymore.

Not a regular basis. You best bet here would be to eat yogurt every day that contain es the lactobacilis acidophilus live active cultures. This helps to keep things in balance. Check the label to make sure it contains live cultures.

This is for yeast infections, not bacterial. Sorry.
