Normal respiration is 8 - 12 breaths per minute. So 24 hours times 60 minutes times 8 to 12 is equal to 11520 to 17280 if you don't exercise. If you exercise, than that changes everything. Talk about a work out for your diaphragm!

inhalation and exhalation are at the same rate the normal average adult inhales and exhales approx 12-18 breathes per min but this can all depend on a persons medical condition or level of exercise or level of fitness and weight

A healthy adult averages 12-14 breaths per minute. This will go up and down depending on exertion levels, but to give you a general idea.....at that rate it would be over 20,000 breaths over a 24 hour period.

depends on your body weight.....overweight people need more oxygen and blood supplied throughout their bodies, so the heart pumps faster, and you breathe faster......also, it has to do with the condition of your heart
