I think that every word anyone says can have am impact on someone or something else. Speak freely...but be sure your heart is in the right place when you do speak. Just your ability to THANK people for speaking to you changed me...in a way. So, for that, I say thank you. Now - it is time to pass on the good will and good feelings you gave me for that random act of 'thanksgiving!' Cheers to you..and a beautiful week ahead of you... my hope for you.

Yes, I certainly do keep that in mind. I'm a sarcastic person. I take the things seirously that need to be taken seriously, but if I make a joke about a certain religion or anything along the lines of that, I try to make it obvious that I'm only kidding.
If it's a serious answer, I try to make if the best it can possibly be. Not just for best answer, to make it clear for the asker and make sure I've covered everything I wanted to touch on.
Some people take things a lot more seriously than others, and we should keep that in mind while answering their questions. I think it's definitely possible that one person's answer can help the asker, depending on the question that is. Especially if it's just something simple or fact-based.
Anyway I'll stop rambling now, hope that answered your question!

I wouldn't like to say it had an effect on their life as such, that is a big responsibility to put on someone, but when I answer questions, I do so with honesty, past experience or just general knowledge on a particular subject.
I would like to think that some of my postings have offered support and understanding to some, and a smile and a giggle to others.
I don't post on here for fame or graditude!

Even if i never know how someone reacts to my answer ad least I know that I tried to help someone, not judge them, try to understand their question without reading into it and making assumptions. I like to think that i would never have a bad effect on some body's life by an answer i give because my intentions are good.

I personally, always answer honestly from the heart. In such a fake world this really is a good outlet to put down our walls and help each other. Since noone can see your face. Congrats, to you and on overcoming a bad week. And I would like to add, please everyone on Yahoo! answers don't just answer w/ some thing that you think is funny just to get the points cuz' you might just be hurting someone else.

Yes, I answer responsibly. I don't want other people's lives to get worst because of me. Giving answer is to give opinion but knowing that the person asking is having bad times and they need serious advice because they will do what you advice them to.
People have a choice but sometimes they don't think clearly when they're having problems, people who answer should be kind, considerate, and responsible to help the person out.

yes and no... i mean, some people do ask questions that they feel are really important and need an honest or straightforward opinion/answer. then there are questions that seem to be random stuff, like those joking kind of questions(like what's ur favorite color) that, if i put my opinion, it won't really CHANGE someone's life. the questions that do seem like the "makes-u-wonder-or-think-deeply" kind of questions are the ones that i try to answer insightfully. i hope that my answers( in that situation) are the ones that can affect someone's life for the better.

It depends on the person that asked the question. Sometimes people can take things too seriously or not serious enough. I think the best thing to do is to just talk to someone that you can really trust even if they are one of the people that allways answer your questions.

Absolutely, for me. The only reason why I enjoy answering things is because I hope to help people get healthier.
