A gay pride parade is just a celebration for being apart of a group of people that often get disciminated against, as you can plainly see from the neanderthal answers you've received thus far. There are parades for almost all walks of life, just to promote togetherness and comradery amongst the group, becasue there are so many narrow minds and bigots out there. it's kind of a way of reassuring others that you are not alone, etc.

just like a regular parade only, gays and lesbians make up a the majority of spectators. these parades take place so that people of this ilk can celebrate there joy for being a part of a homosexual lifestyle.

It's a parade for others like ourselves and usually an event to celebrate, meet, spend time, find other companies/businesses that work around the GLBT community. We can be ourselves, hold hands and spend time together, without being outcasted.

People having a parade to try to convince the rest of us that same sex, sexual relationships is normal. Men who indulge in anal sex with other men, otherwise known as buggery; want to tell us that is normal. Now it's fashionable for women to indulge perverted if not such dangerous practices. Television and movies of course promote this as normal, because most people "working" in the media - are perverted. I would like to see them do real work - where they have to sweat and mix with real men! They wouldn't call them "darling" - they would have a broken nose to take home with them.
