It was banned because it is considered a curse word, although it actually has two meanings, one of which is much less offensive than the other.

When used as an adjective or as a noun describing a person, it simply means "stupid" or "idiot" or "jerk" or something along this lines. That's how it's used when you say "Quel con, ce type!" ("What an idiot that guy is!") or "Il a l'air con" ("He looks stupid").

When used as a noun in the other sense, it is a fairly offensive name for the female genitalia. This is the use of "con" that is being banned by French Answers. Of course, it's impossible to know how it's being used, so they ban anything that has "con" in it, including words like "conversation" and "contempler" and "condamner".

Incidentally, the word for the anus (or a**hole as the above person calls it) is not "con"; it's "cul," which I suspect is also banned.

The add a little precision on the first answer given: It's french slang for female genitalia. The equivalent of the C word meaning the same in English.

Altho now a days, it's used to desbribe something stupid or a stupid person:
Ex:
C'est totalement con!
Ce que tu peux etre con!
