You can starve yourself. That's basically the only way. It is NOT healthy to lose that many lbs a week. It's most healthy if you lose between 1 and 2 lbs a week. If you haven't started losing weight yet, you can probably lose up to 4 lbs a week without starving yourself. That would be 12 lbs in 3 weeks.

If I were you I'd go to the gym every day. If you cant, and have a treadmill or other cardio machine at home, use that. If you don't have any machines at home, do an exercise tape that gets you moving a lot. If you don't have that, visit the library, they might have one. If you cant do that, just take a jog outside. It is the cardio (fast moving, keeping your heart rate up for a long period of time) that makes you lose weight. You say you have lots of muscle, that should make you lose weight faster.

If I were you and I wanted to lose those 20lbs in 3 weeks, I'd walk/jog/run for as much as I possibly could these next 3 weeks while eating a lot of healthy food. Do NOT eat ANY junk food or any sweets. Also, drink a LOT of water. Drink till you think you've drunk TOO Much. Then drink MORE! Drinking lots of water helps you lose a lot of weight. Just be prepared to use the restroom often ;-)

Really, you can't lose 20lbs in 3 weeks unless you starve yourself. But I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT.

Good luck!

wow, i guess your a male so 225 isnt as bad as it is for females. but im 5"8' too, and im only 115... sorry to make you feel bad and all! Um, well first you need to cut out the main carbs in your diet if you feel like a bag of chips just say NO! think like the packet is all fat thats being strapped to your body. if you're starving have a banana or another fruit.. try for ones without too much sugar. Also i'd start exercising for one get off the computer and go have a run! Do maximum body workouts. and dont stop when you're tired keep going.. only stop when you're aching.. Plus if its night time and you're sitting watching TV dont just sit. sorta do miny exercises like lifting your arms up and down it may look odd but it will help If you're allowed you may be able to get some subscription diet pills they'll help too.! i just researched what the ideal weight for males of 5'8 is and it is 154 pounds so aim for that! Good luck xx

I wouldn't even try. You will end up looking worse. If you restrict your calories that much, your body will start eating muscle instead of fat and you'll look fatter. The most you can hope to lose in 3 weeks is 8lbs and still be healtyh at the end of it. Don't kill yourself just to "look good" when you go to the beach. Plan further in advance next year and try to lose 20 lbs over 10 weeks which is the healthy way to do it.

That is too much! To keep weight off, you should loose about one pound per week.

20 pounds in 3 weeks? No, you can't.
That would be 7 pounds in one week, or a pound a day.
One pound of fat is 3500 calories. That's equivalent to an ultra-marathon! -- running 35 miles per day for three weeks.
Totally unrealistic.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Get started today!

A lot of exercise, no or very small amount of rice or potatoes. Also try to eat fish or chicken instead of beef, pork, etc.
Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables-they will help your metabolism running. Also remember to drink plenty of water, especially green tea with lemon.

Eat only white rice like they did on survivor. I would lecture you but I know you don't want to hear it, so there is my advice.

"LOOSE"?? WTF??

The word you want is spelled L-O-S-E.

And if you COULD lose 20 pounds in 3 weeks, it would only be water weight, and you'd gain it back just as fast.
