I dont think he is either. Marilyn Manson is marketing ploy to sell music. Its just like Slipknot wearing masks. The man that portrays manson is Brian Warner. manson fans would say the band is successful music fans will have mixed emotions and then there is the people who just hate him. I dislike the message the band sends and the image but some songs are actually good as far as the music. But I definetly dont agree with lyrics like "I'm not a slave to a God that doesn't exist"

I think he is who he is and he's not doing it purely for the attention. I think that he likes the attention, but he also likes the music that he does. No, I don't blame him for Columbine. That is all the kids fault there. If they don't know the difference bwtn right and wrong and a few other things, that's their problem. Too many times people blame music and movies for the way they act......get over it! You choose what you do, not the movie or music! ::Ok, stepping down off the soap box::

I don't think he does what he does for the attention, he may enjoy the attention but he is who he is. People need to stop blaming music and the media for every little thing that goes wrong in the world. Its the stupid kids fault for columbine. Period.
