~~yes you can get pregnant taking the pill, if you take it at the same time or at different times, you still can get pregnant. there is no method of birthcontrol that is 100% effective other than abstanance. and if you are not married, i would strongly suggest waiting until you are married and ready to have a family. Condoms can break, leak, fall off, all of them have microscopic holes in them that the HPV and the HIV virus' can pass through. for those few moments of pleasure, it is not worth risking your life. also, once you give in, your chances of marriage go down. (why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?) if he really loves you he will be willing to wait, and if he is not willing to wait then you know all he wants you for is to get you between the sheets, and you diserve better than that.~~

the pill works best if taken at the same time everyday. It is only 99.9% effective. So there is always that .01% change that you can get pregnant. And that is if you are taking the pill at the same time everyday. There are many things that increase the changes of pregnancy. Like taking antibiotics, smoking and not taking the pill at the same time everyday.

Although highly unlikely, it is possible. Remember....life WANTS to find a way. Oral contraceptives are synthetic hormones that trick your body into not ovulating. If you go more than 24 hrs (for instance, you take a pill at 8am on Monday but don't take another until noon on Tuesday) you can ovulate. If you have sex right before or after this ovulation occurs, fertilization and possibly pregnancy can occur. Fertilization and pregnancy are not one in the same. Many eggs are fertilized, but pregnancy doesn't start until the fertilized egg implants itself into your uterus. Oral contraceptives have a way of making the uterine lining unfavorable for fertilized eggs. This is another reason they are very effective in preventing pregnancy. But if you take your pills sporatically, they simple aren't as effective as they can be....hence you can get pregnant. If you're taking one everyday, no matter what time it is, I wouldn't loose sleep about it unless you don't have a period when you take the placebo pills.

You should try to take the pill at the same time everyday, in fact most DRs recommend it, but as long as you take it. That is what is really important. I took it for over 6 years, with no problems and yes I would forget take it sometimes. But it worked great. If your really worried talk to your DR or use additional birth control methods.

I wouldn't think the time you take the pill would matter. As long as you take it you should be okay. But, yes you can still get pregnant the pill isn't 100% effective.

You might want to rewrite the question. You cannot get pregnant by taking the pill any time of day. You take the pill to prevent getting pregnant. Get it?

Not usually. If you take it 7pm one day, 10pm another and 1am another, you are fine. It depends on the pill, but sometimes you can take it up to 24 hours late and still be fine. Your pills should have an infomation sheet which can tell you specifically when to worry. I am on Yasmin and can take a pill up to 24 hours late without any problems. I normally take my pill somtime in a four hour period.

no, my wife's pills take like 6 months to wear off, it is still in your system. If you have a baby before it wears off it can have a hanycap. As long as you take it almost everyday you should be okay. Look at the label, it may help more.
