You probably will not know when it turns. I know that is something I never knew for sure myself. But if it hasn't turned yet it should be soon!!!
Talk to your doctor and find out what their opinion is and what your odds of the baby being breach at 40 weeks are.
Good luck!

First, get your doctor to point out where the head is so you can feel it yourself. The head feels very round and hard, and will move separate from the rest of the body (the butt will not.) Once you learn the feel of the head you will have a better idea of the position of the baby.

Second - don't worry. At 30 weeks, and as active as your baby sounds (I read your previous question) there is still plenty of time for him to turn. If fact, he may be head up today and head down tomorrow - and then head up again. Give it a few more weeks - at the very least 2, 4 is better, to give him a chance to settle down on his own. If he doesn't and is still breech write back. I can give you a whole list of things to do to get him to turn head down. The problem with turning him right now is that he obviously still has a lot of room and would probably just turn again.

There isn't really any way to know if she'll turn or not... I was told my daughter was breech, too. We went to see a surgeon to talk about the c-section delivery and make arrangements. He was the oldest, shakey-handed, no-bedside-mannered doctor I had ever met. His touch must have scared her half to death, because the next morning I had an ultrasound with my regular doctor, and she had turned in the night!!! She was a small baby, 6lb 4oz, so I didn't even notice! Good luck!

My wife was also in a similar position

The Doctor had her do exercises twice a day to move the position of the baby.

She had to kneel with her butt in the air and head down

Ask your doctor about it hopefully they can lead you in t he right direction

They can tell the position of the baby by doing a ultrasound

Good luck in birthing and bringing your child into the world.
