Both are played with your feet. What we know as soccer in the United States and Canada is known as Football in the rest of the world. The United States has its version of football, which really doesn't involve the feet all that much so I'm not sure why the name originated as it has.

Soccer is the game played with your feet for the majority of the time.... Only the Keepers (goalies) and person throwing the ball in after it leaves the playing feild from a sideline can use there hands...

Football for the rest of the world.
I like football better since its actually played with your FEET and a BALL.
I have no clue why they named NFL FOOTBALL cuz they dont use their feet.

I think the USA is the only country where "soccer" is played, every other country calls it football. That would probably be becausethe USA has another kind of football with a different set of rules
