I will be taking a cruise on the Norwegian Sun out of New Orleans in April. Itinerary includes Costa Maya, Santo Tomas De Castilla Guatemala, Belize City and Cozumel. Norwegiam has explained that I will not be required to have a passport to take the trip, my concern is Guatemala and Belize. Will I be allowed to enter these countries for excursions without a passport? I am concerned that I do not have the 8 weeks required to obtain one.

Thanks for your advise, also any tips on what I should while there. Have been to Cozumel.

So i'm going on an Alaska Cruise with my family in July-August time frame. I understand that on most cruise ships the drinking age is 21. Everyone except for one person is older than 21 in my party (my little brother is 20). We are from a place where the drinking age is 18+, so we're quite used to having the entire family out for social drinks. Just curious if anyone was able to bend these rules on cruise lines, primarily the Princess and/or Holland America cruise line.

Can my husband and i wear shorts and a t shirt for the causal night, or do we have to wear pants. On smart causual nights can my husband wear a polo shirt and khakis ? or does he need to wear a sport coat? any other packing tips are welcome. Thanks

My friend & I are going to Freeport and Nassau in February, on the Elation. I've looked at reviews online, but it always helps to hear more experiences! Any extra charges (besides those for drinks) that I should watch out for? Any beach recommendations (we're planning to do our own thing, instead of booking shore excursions)? Is it pretty cheap to get around? Do the beaches have souvenir stands, or do you have to go to the market? Sorry about all the questions - it's hard being curious, nervous, and excited all at the same time! Thanks for any replies! :)

I had a terrible time whale watching some years ago. I really want to go on a cruise, but fear similar results. I have heard that the use of a patch or pills help. Is this true? I have also heard that you do not feel very much movement on a cruise ship. Please advise!!!!

I may be going on a Cruise with some friends. I am single and all the friends that are going are couples. I do not want to pay double for a room by myself. All the prices are based off of double occupency. If I cannot find someone to go with me, does anyone know whre I can check for others who want to share a room.

I do not know the specifc cruise line or date. But is will be leaving from L.A. in March and will be a 7-8 day Mexican Riviera cruise.

I've been on 2 cruises before... the first one I didn't take anything and paid for it. The 2nd one I had the patch, but it gave me dry mouth, severe drowsyness (I was going to bed by 8:30 every night) and blurred vision. I have heard bonine and ginger are good alternatives. Has anyone used either or could anyone give me some good ideas on preventing sea sickness?

PS- We already booked the lowest level, midship interior room, so that point is covered.

I filled out a card at the mall a long time ago about a free cruise trip, and someone called me today and told me I won, she gave me the phone number and confirmation number. I called and everything seems legit, its with Diamond Holidays Cruise trips. Anyone know if this is a rip off? or how I can find out if it is or not.
