On monday april 2nd i need to get from Christchurch to Picton in NZ. I do not get to Christchurch airport until 2.00pm. Is this possible to do arriving that late in the day??

I'm looking at different suburbs in Melbourne to move to and I'm not sure what areas are the areas to avoid, and what are the expensive ones, where the highest crime is. I'm a single woman in her 20s and I don't want to feel uncomfortable where I live. I'm more looking around North melbourne, South, and South east.

I am trying to choose between University of Sydney or University of Melbourne for Education programs. I am hoping to stay on in Australia. I wonder whether Sydney or Melbourne offers a better quality of life, which one has a better job market in Education, and which city one would enjoy living in more, in terms of people, weather, lifestyle, open areas and parklands, shopping, and the vibrancy of the city. Basically which one is a better choice in terms of the people one would find there? How are the people of Melbourne different than those of Sydney?

Moving to Sydney and looking for an area with a nice feel, preferrably some good cafes and villagey feel. Looking for a commute of no more than 30 -40 minutes. Happy to ride to work if there is a decent (not too dangerous) cycle route. THinking Eastern suburbs or inner west. Keen to understand what public transport is available to get to work and how long it takes. Not really interested in ferry unless there is also another road option for when ferries stop running in the evenings. Looking forward to your advice!

hi ive wanted to go to australia for a gap year at the end of my a levels for a while now, and wondered if anyone ever did this/ is doing this or if you live there. would you be able to give me advice on places that cant be missed what travel companies i could use etc. i would be going on my own as far as plans go for now. im in year 12 at the mo so the rest of this year and next year and then id go. anyone fancy coming with me??!! lol
