I race downhill bikes, and was wondering how to train cardiologically for 2 minutes of high intensity riding? My muscles are fine but I begin feeling winded and fatigued.

I have a Spin bike, & it makes a continous clicking noise as I pedal. I thought it was rust on the chain, so I lubed the chain and it still makes the awlful clicking noise. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestion what could be causing the noise? Probably need a new chain? The condition of the bike is OK it shows some rust, but the flywheel spins very smooth.

Ok, so I got my bike a few years ago. It's one of these hybrid types.. like an atb. Front and back suspension (springs). Mid-range quality bike, not the crud, not the best either.

Anyways, I'm wondering how long bike tires last? I've been riding on the original tires (Camel) for the past three years, over 1800KM (yes that's accurate). They are 1.95" X 26".

I've noticed these lobes/bulges on my rear tire, not on the tread, but on the sides of the tire. I figure they are gonna burst soon.

I ride 10% on trails off road, 20% not on road, but not on trails (rough city terrain), 70% on road. I ride in the rain, and when it's hot/cold out.

I'm planning on getting a set of "Specialized" brand tires. How long do you figure these will last? Anyone know?

Is it reasonable that these tires will last 2000 KM?

i have a Super le Tour and the old wheels are 27 1/4'' and i need a new wheel set

When my wheel wobbles side to side, I usually keep the wheel at the spot where it wobbles and comes too close to one side of the brake shoe.

I then turn the spoke wrench on the closest few spokes to center the rim. (I know this is not a good way to check the tension on the opposite side of the hub though).

I don't have a truing stand but I hear some ppl say that a bike is the best truing stand to use.

How does everyone else out there true their wheels without having a truing stand?

Thanks

I have a flat spot on my back wheel. I do biketrials (stunt riding on an mountain bike), and how do mechanics fix this problem?
Is there something I can do on my own before taking it to the shop?

Are there special tools apart from a hammer to fix this problem?

Thanks

I'm mainly a runner, and I bike around town on my mountain bike from wal-mart. I know I need to buy a good road-racing bicycle to start out on.

Do you use your front brake as your primary brake? If so, have you ever flipped over your handle bars because of it?

I'm a college student that needed a bike for commuting to and from work over the summer. I bought myself a nice mountain bike off craigslist and have since developed a curiosity for actual mountain biking as well as bike mechanics. I don't know anyone who is into mountain biking, where should I start looking?

I am new Road Biking and I got a new bike. I have the standard bike tire pump, but the it doesn't fit on my new Road Cycle. This probably sounds stupid to anybody that knows anything about road bikes, but do I need a special tool to put the air in the tires?
