I do not mean to sound cheap, but I can not afford to give 10% of my monthly earnings to church for tithes/offering. I am not saying that I do not give anything, because I do. But does not being able to provide 10% mean that I should not attend church since I can not monetarily support [God]?

since they believe you only need to believe in Jesus who died on the cross for our sins, then i can do whatever i want and still be forgiving.

didn't jesus die for my sins? means any sin i do will be forgiving. otherwise what is the point of Jesus death?

I used to go to church reguraly, and I am thinking about going back. When I took my brother to the laundramat yesterday there was a book there titled "The Ten Commandments Twice Removed." First I mocked it and laughed, but I ended up taking it to read. Also, I drove by the church I used to attend and the messege for Sunday is "How to be a Joyous Person." I have wanted that for months now. On to my question, do you think that it is [God] showing me that I need to be in church or is that all in my imagination? To whoever reads this, thank you for taking the time to do so and taking the time to provide an answer. I truly appreciate it. ***serious answers only please***

to live by his ideals? Anyone who has read Christs (you know the stuff in RED) message would realize his was a message of peace, love and tolerance. I'm agnostic, and I can't for the life of me find anything wrong with that. I don't want a savior to take the burden of my sins as they are mine to deal with. I can't accept or reject that there is a God as there is no proof of either concept, but I can accept that Christ had some really good points. Why do some get offended when one who is not a Christian trys to follow a peaceful path? (not all do)

what did Jesus mean by this?...‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’ (NASB) Matthew 7:21-23

I dont believe in god or allah or anything else and in my opinion its just one big cult. I dont understand how believing in something that doesnt exist makes your life better.

Im NOT saying religion is bad, im just saying that theres no point in it. And now ppl are fighting because of it, wouldnt be easier if it was just abolished?

Is calling someone stupid an effective means for making them see your side of things? Would it not be more effective to try to live the best life you can, and ask questions when you honestly have them?

Apples have nothing what so ever to do with what happened in the garden of Eden.

What Eve did was have intercourse with Satan.

Cain and Abel are fraternal twins, which means they came from two separate bags of water. They had separate conceptions. It is possible for fraternal twins to have different fathers, just like Cain and Abel did.

Look at Adam's genealogy you shall find that Cain is not mentioned. That's because Adam is not Cain's father, Satan is.

In Genesis 5 we have the generations of Adam all the way to Noah and his sons. Cain is not mentioned as a child of Adam.

A friend says Jesus has changed his life. He is "born again"

I asked this guy: Have you stopped doing the stuff that made your life so bad, booze, drugs, etc;?

He said yes. Jesus gave him the strength to that.

My argument is that Jesus did zip.

My friend may as well have believed in a cockroach and it would have the same affect.
