The bible has soooo many hypocritical statements with itself and with religions that use it. Why do so many people (for example, on this site) live their life like is a blueprint. "Whatever it says is right, must be right, and vise versa." And then so many people quote the thing as if it's something that came right out of God's mouth.

KEEP IN MIND...I just want to know what this could possibly mean.
What did Timothy Freke and Peter Gandy, in their book “The Laughing Jesus”, mean when they said “religion is the devil’s greatest achievement”?

The Hamitic Myth is derived from the Biblical story of Noah. Taken alone as presented in Genesis 9:21-27, the characters are without a racial or geographical identity. It is the later interpretation of this race/religion/nation-neutral parable which assigned the curse specifically to the Black race such that by 1460 the institution of slavery would be universally believed to be the lot of the Africans.

Many other instances can be found of acceptance of the Myth as God's will and wisdom by Blacks and their slavery-fashioned clerics.

Bible Verses Used as Justification of Slavery
1 Chron. 18:11; 2 Sam. 20:23 (foreign mercenaries)
Josh. 9:21-27; Num. 31:26-47 (hewers of wood...)
2 Kings 5:20-27 (only other Biblical curse with skin change--to white)
Jesus had Canaanite blood; 1 of the 12 Apostles was a Canaanite (Mat 10:4)
Gen 17:13; Lev 25:24, 42-6 (condone slavery; 2 types of slavery)
Exod 20:10, 17 (protects slaves)

Why God believers will always have a problem with us

1. The belief in God is their ultimate comfort zone. The simple thought of us being Atheists discomforts them

2. In order to justify their belief is right, they have to think something is wrong with us

3. As long as they believe in the after life, they will never think we're equal because they dont think our death is equal

WE CAN CONVERT THE WORLD TO ATHEISM. IT HAS TO START WITH THE SCHOOLS

IF JOSEPH STALIN DID IT, WE CAN TOO. WE JUST NEED TO KEEP THE PEACE AND CONTINUE BEING GOOD.

Is it not true that religions are nothing more than an extension of those that practice the religion? Further, those that practice the religion, whatever religion it is, are FOLLOWING what the religion teaches?

If so, what did you think about it? I thought it made a very good point. People go way overboard with their religions as times and loose focus. Let me know what you thought.

My great-grandfather was a Freemason and his wife, my great-grandmother, was an Eastern Star. I would really love to keep Freemasonry in our family and need some help in this area.

I realize that I would need to actually talk to another Eastern Star, or contact a local chapter, but how do I go about this? Should I go to the actual lodge or should I call?

Also, will they give me instructions on when and how to submit my petition? What do they specifically look for in a member? I know they look for mental, moral and spiritual quality, but that can be quite relative.

Sorry if I seem juvenile by asking so many question. I just want to put my best foot forward.

Luke
12:51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: "Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division."
Jesus did not come to bring peace, but division.
Is Jesus peaceful?
12:52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.(12:52-53)
"The father shall be divided against the son."
Jesus prophesies that families will be divided because of him and his teachings. Sadly, this is one prophecy that has been fulfilled.
12:53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.

Evolutionary Theory is in flux, but the fact that life on this planet "evolves" is an indisputable fact. You can watch it happen just like Darwin did, if you care to take the time and trouble.

Right around 1900 machines started being developed and the world has developed into what we have now. Even taking the christian view of 7,000 years, why did we not develope these things before?? If we had millions and billions of years as they say, Why didn't early man develope some kind of technology??
How can you say millions of years and in only 100 years space travel, cars, airplanes ect..
The book of Daniel says
Dan 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Knowledge certainly has increased in a very short time.. How do you explain it??
