The holidays are coming up quickly, so what are some good presents? He loves sports. Please don't say PS3, or XBox 360, because we have a budget of under $100. Thanks!

Well the point is that now I'm staying in Europe far from my family. I'm going to spend Christmas here. But the thing I realized is that I got nobody to share it with. I do not feel like spending Christmas in a night club although I got some invitations. I would like it to be still a family holiday. So I'm alone. What should I do? How can I spend Christmas alone? I have no idea. It's the first time in my life.

Any suggestions on how to fight a depression over the holidays. I lost my father and brother when I was 14 and ever since, each holiday I get very sad and mopey. A lot plays into it now, with dissatisfaction with my current living situation, melancholy over Christmas songs, and a mad rush of the season. Any ideas on how to shake the gloom would be most appreciated.

Jesus wasn't born on that day, yet we celoebrate it! Does God approve of that day for His Son ? I can understand Christmas, its a poor excuse for picking a man's pocket every 25th of December! If Christmas is a time of love, why do we pay for that love with presents?

My hubby and I are having a hard time getting in the Holiday spirit these last couple years. BOTH of our parents have become Snow Birds so they are in Florida during the holidays while we are here in Chicago. It isn't possible to spend the holidays together with them. But since they moved things have been so different around the holidays. They were the ones that hosted the family parties and so on. Our house isn't big enough to do that. And the brothers and sisters don't want to host a family party. We don't have work parties to go to, and our friends don't really get into having a holiday party. So how do we make the holidays a joyous occasion again? How do we make it still feel like Christmas? We still try to do little things with our teenage son, but it just isn't doing it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My Realtor just recently helped me buy my first rental property, and it has gone extremely well. I'm quite happy with everything she did for me, so I want to get her a nice present for Christmas.

I'm thinking either a fruit basket or box of chocolates and a book that I'm also giving to some other people this year. How does this sound?
