(a Christmas present), would you tell me you don't like it, or would you thank me for taking the time and buying you something? I mean really, isn't it the thought that counts?

They are trying to be nice, and people like that guy who sued the church for playing christmas music right outside the church are really ruining the holiday spirit.

Do you think that if we ever colonize other planets that people will get upset about wishing someone peace on earth? Being that it is not 100% inclusive and someone might feel left out.
note: not a serious question, just musing on the general state of pc unrest. so no die hard answers please. oh and Merry Christmas! there i said it so :P

I want to decorate for Christmas with some fresh pine needles (I live in SE Texas, so I just walk out in the yard and pick them myself), but I don't know how long they'll last! Also, if you have any ideas as to what I can do with them, let me know! Thanks! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

I'll start the list. A few years ago, during a dirty Santa game, I ended up with reusable, paper placemats that had a protective wax coating so you could just wipe them clean. The sad things is I saw them in a store last year & they cost $22!!!!

When my partner and I spent our first Xmas with my family, he was given a bottle of champagne and some 'jack daniels' alcohol chocolate by my cousin, even though everyone knows my partner is a recovering alcoholic and can't touch the stuff.
You should have seen the look on his face when he opened it.
Talk about uncomfortable.

I always end up with lotions and bubble bath that I can't use, because they are loaded with chemicals and I only use natural products on my skin!
Every year I have an influx of girly chemical stuff that I have to figure out, how to get rid of.
Even when I tell people, they still give it to me.

It seems like every year, there is an assault on Christmas, like we can't say Merry Christmas without worrying about offending anyone. Personally I'm getting tired of it and I personally don't care if people get offended by me saying Merry Christmas. My oldest son can't even say Merry Christmas in school anymore because it has the word Christ in it. Anyways, I just wanted to see how others here felt about it.

We've been dating for 4 months, but I spent over a week with his family over Thanksgiving, and feel pretty close to his mom and stepdad. I would normally go gift basket route, but I sent a really nice one as a thank you for having me for Thanksgiving. He is in VT, I'm in CA, so it makes it more difficult as I have to send it.
