I started to feel down, thinking I didn't do anything for Christmas, but then I realized I: sent a few cards, decorated the house a bit, got a tree and made ornaments, did a little shopping (I only have 4 people to buy for), and I'm cooking dinner Monday. But since don't feel stressed, haven't hit the sales or felt the "craziness" all the people interviewed on the news talk about, why do I feel I'm missing it? Can the media make me feel "bad" for feeling what I consider normal??

I have two older brothers who each have girlfriends, one has a kid(7) but he's not my brothers kid. Anyways, they've each been going with them for maybe just now 2 years. And I have a boyfriend we'll be going out for 6 months this Jan. I had to do all my christmas shopping and everything by myself for him and spend all my money doing so, my parents didn't even buy him one thing or chip in with me (they normally will do this with one of my brothers). Not even a small thing. But then they bought my brothers girlfriends gifts, and that kid a gift. Isn't this wrong? And this Christmas one of the girlfriends won't even be here at the house! I just feel a little jipped, or is there some unspoken rule about this thing.

I mean the ones who decorate the outside of their homes with loads of lights, decorations, Santas, Reindeer etc?
My neighbours go OTT and I'm all for the Christmas spirit, but it just seems a bit 'tacky' to me!!!

You open a present and it has note that says"go look here" you go look there to find another note that says"go look here" .While you are searching they sneek in the real present or lead you to many different presents. It has always been fun when giving a large or expensive present.
