I can understand people getting upset about people flaming, posting rude remarks, etc. But some rules of "netiquette" seem a little silly to me. For instance, why is it such a big deal if someone TYPES IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS? I know, someone in the early days of chatrooms decided that was yelling, and now everyone's uptight about it. But maybe that's just the way the person likes to type. I mean, I have known some people that handwrite everything in capital letters--and it was just the way they wrote, no hidden meaning, threat, or rage hidden underneath.
Also, people tend to get antsy when someone rites n chatspeak. u no, cuz dats jus kool, u no. Yeah, it looks silly, but is it really worth getting upset over? I guess you could argue that it shows a lack of language skills. It might, but still, you're making an assumption. One again, maybe that's just how the person likes to write when chatting online. It doesn't mean they don't know the rules of grammar, spelling, etc.
