Somone sitting next to me sneezed once and I said 'bless you'. A minute or so later the person sneezed again. I did not know whether to say 'bless you' once more or to keep quiet since the previous 'bless you' was sufficient.
Please clarify what I should have done.

Hello, I recently got a public service license. I wanted to get a part time job driving a taxi or limousine. After completeing my physical, I ran in to a guy that I met in the Navy. We didn't serve together, but were discharged the same week and happen to be from the same town. Over the past ten years or so we have run in to each other and always greeted each other warmly, but it is not as if we are close friends or anything like that.

Anyway, this guys just started a taxi company and was eager to have me come work for him! I all but signed up on the spot, but it takes a few weeks to get approved for the license.

While I was waiting to be approved, I found out that this guys mother had disrespected my mother and sister. My mother and sister are in Real Estate together and his Mother is in another office. They advised me not to work for him and I followed there advice and went with another company.

But I still see him around. What should I say to him? I feel so mean!

With the holidays coming up my boyfriend and I always end up in a sticky predicament of our "no meat" and "very little dairy" policy. How do I tell a host that I don't eat meat, and would be happy to bring my own food (without insulting said host). While I am an animal rights advocate, I try not to preach to people about my choices, but educate if asked.

Any suggestions?

I had a group of coworkers who are known for laziness standing around talking, blocking a walkway where I and another worker who was pulling a large pallet jack trying to get by. Also in that group of people was a manager. All 4 of them saw us trying to get by and no one moved but just stood there talking. I had a bad cold and barely a voice to talk and that manager new that. I whistled to get their attention and i would have thought common sense would have told them to move but they didn't. They just kept on talking and that manager said nothing to move them. So I had told them to move out of the way. The manager yelled at me in front of them and said I could have said excuse me and that their conversation could have been important for all I know. It couldn't have been too important if one of them wasn't even on the clock, which is a violation of company policy. Was I wrong? Or was that manager and the coworkers wrong?

I've been dating a 35 years-old guy on and off for about 8 months. I'm thinking about getting him a Ralph Lauren wallet (about $150 worth), since a wallet is something he might need. Since he is in his 30's, I feel like I cannot give him something too cheap. Do you think I'm spending too much or too little? What other gift ideas do you have? What is appropriate in my case?

What are some of the incidents that have happened to you, where you know it's going to be one of those days, where nothing goe's right and everything goe's wrong? If I get up late for work, I am sure it will be one of those days. I apologize if this question is under the wrong topic, I really didn't see where it would go.

I am new to this site, I primarily got into it for the computer knowledge being shared- thanks everybody I am learning a lot from just reading. But some of the other topics are quite depressing or down right empty ended stuff - but I assume that there are a lot of bored and or lonely people who otherwise would have very little to do. Be happy people Sh** isn't as serious as some of you make it out to be. Just chill and enjoy life

I know some people whose cell phones are their lifelines. I also know some people who would not use anything that fell in the toilet because of the bacteria, ick factor, etc. So if yours fell in the toilet, what would you do, aside from letting it dry out?

I just find people interesting. And if they are unusual looking (not bad, just unusual) or exotic etc. well, I'm twice as likely to stare. I don't mean to be rude...I'm just exploring their features and stuff out of curiousity and thinking "interesting, wow, beautiful.." and then I'm like, "Oh my gosh, I was staring" then I feel bad..but oh well, harm's done. So, what goes on inside your head when you catch someone staring at you?

Anyone have any real interesting or creative ways of dealing with annoying telemarketers? Especially the ones that will just keep calling over and over until you finally pick up the phone. Anything annoying I could say or do to them? And yes I know they're just trying to do their jobs but they don't need to do it 10 times in 1 day or during dinner hour!

What can I do nice for my neighbors:

Why: they watch my dog when I'm out of town, they invite me to dinner, today one of them painted my bathroom for me!!

Who they are: a family of 5; 3 young girls, a husband an wife. They are active in the community and the kids. He likes to hunt and is handy, she is a teacher and is very creative. The kids are so nice, polite and smart.

Me: a bachelor, a regular guy who can't think of something nice I could do for them. I can't cook, I am not very handy and I lack that social gene which helps you know how to do nice things for people...

Now, they aren't the kind of people who will 'take' things in retrun, so it has to be something creative that someone like me would think of!! THANKS!!
