My friend says the 3 second rule only counts when folks are looking. I say it can stay down there for three days if you're comfortable with that.

Is this a health rule or an embarrassment kind of thing?

Is it improper etiquette to just sit at the table mutely and eat? I dont interact with anyone and i'm not about to start interacting with relatives i've seen but never really interacted with before. Last year i just sat at the table like a petrified mummy and never said anything and then i overheard some of them saying that am i retarded. Some people tryed to interact with me but i just answer with one word. What should i do that would be proper etiquette at a table taking into account the fact that i'm not social and i never interact with anyone

So I come home from the mall and these 3 kids are playing football and one is pulling grass out of my yard so I call my mom and they stop. I was sitting in my car in front of my yard talking with my bf and then they stand in front of my car trying to catch the ball that they're aiming directly at my windshield several times. So after enough of that I asked them to play elsewhere and not aim the ball at my car and they say "no you can move" when I live there. So I knocked on their parents door who just called out their older brother to make them stop. Then later that night when I return home I find chocolate icing smeared all over my screendoor. My grandma said she heard a noise and peeked through the window and saw them but doesn't speak english and is scared of other people so she didn't do anything.

Should I speak to their parents one more time about this and make them clean it up or can I call the police on them for vandilizing my property? It is very childish but annoying.

I manage an apartment complex with a significant Muslim population and do not want to offend them accidently by saying or doing the wrong thing.

What do I do in the following situations?

1. I have a lot of friends, but some of them are not best friends. I'm trying to lower the gift giving this year, but the friends I'm giving gifts too... are in the same classes as the friends that I'm not giving gifts to this year. How do I avoid this akward situation?

2. What do I do if someone I didn't give a gift to, gave one to me?

3. What do I do if I give a gift to someone who doesn't give one to me? Would they feel obligated to give me one?

Any other tips are much appreciated! Remember that this is for highschoolers.

Ok, so, in my sociology class, i sit next to these 2 girls [real nice], and, we sometimee talk during class, nothing major. Anyway, were having a takehome test coming up, and one of the girls thought it was a good idea to like do it all together, so less wrong answers and stuff right, but nothing eles was mentioned after that. Would it be weird if i brought it up again and invited them ot meet somewhere and take the test together?

I just always feel weird making the first move. I'd like to become better friends with them, is this a good start? what do I do after that?

I was preparing for Thanksgiving dinner tommorow and I was making some delicious macaroni and cheese that my parents and my husband just love. Well I put milk in it instead of water and I didn't have any regular milk, only some pumped breastmilk in bottles that were in the refrigerator. I couldn't drive to the store because I don't have my own car or a driver's license and the rest of my family had gone to the store except for my precious baby, so I decided to use my breastmilk. (I fed the baby naturally afterwards - he had plenty..teehee ;) ) Anyways, I tasted it after it was finished and I could only taste a slight difference. Do you think I should say something? I don't want to be a bad hostess, but at the same time I know I do not have any diseases. I was also a virgin when I was married.

Seriously, I'm getting so tired of it! We have to go around and hug and kiss everyone when we get there and again when we leave. It's so fake and annoying but we feel obliged because everyone goes in for the hug!

at work we are now required to play christmas music till x-mas. anyway, this has been the policy for years and of course every year someone makes a coment and you just ignore it but today was extreme. While helping another customer a woman came to me screaming demanding to speak to THE OWNER yup the owner. My first thought, what the hell p!ssed her off that she wants to speak to the owner 2nd thought-where the hell am I gonna find the owner (get real) anyway I asked her what the situation was and if I could help her. She than very loudly told me that playing xmas music is offensive to her as a muslim woman. I said Im sorry you feel this way but Im just following orders, I turned to help my customer and she pulled my arm and said maybe you are not hearing me...I am offended and I want this turned off NOW!!! she continued rambling and I had enough so I said Listen- I dont like hip hop but I have to listen to it in most shops and I tolerate it I dont rant and rave, theres nothing I can do

I've moved to London for half a year and don't know the culture that much. We don't really know each other. Not even enter their house. Only say hello and chat little when we meet nearby. But the kids are really cute. Should I give them some little things like chocolate at X'mas, just to show friendliness or is it not necessary?
