I love Christmastime and have my radio tuned to the Christmas channel all month long. So, what Christmas songs do you like?

Two categories:
1. Favorite popular Christmas song (Rudolph, Jingle Bell Rock, Holly Jolly Christmas, etc.)
2. Favorite traditional Christmas song

And, for extra credit:
3. Is there a Christmas song that you just cringe when it comes on the radio?

I'm an Atheist. I've always found the idea of an all powerful and benevolent God to be somewhat ridiculous... No offense to anyone, but it's just something i find very hard to accept, mostly due to the state of things down here on earth.

But i was reflecting on this and i think if He weren't all powerful, i would at least be able to accept Him as a possibility.. I mean, there would still be zero proof for his existence, and i would likely still be an Atheist, but at least maybe i wouldn't find the whole concept so ridiculous.

I could at least understand the idea for a God who wages war with the forces of Evil, and so on... besides, it'd make for a heck of a better storyline. I mean c'mon, you'd have angels fighting demons and so on, it'd be rather exciting.

What do you think?

Does this mean you can't continue to have sex with your spouse or anyone else once you and your spouse are both in Heaven someday? That would suck.

But I doubt God would be that cruel.

This year for Christmas we're doing a gift exchange so that each adult gives only one kid a really nice gift, and in return, each kid gives the adult a HOMEMADE present. I'm 16, so I definitely don't want to make some cheesy craft made out of pipecleaners and googly stick on eyes. I'm making for my aunt, who is a stay-at-home mom. I was thinking about making cookies for her, but she probably doesn't want more food in her house, and it seemed a little too easy, anyways. Do you guys have any ideas of a mature, worthwhile, homemade gift I could give her? Thanks!

Based on this, what do you think? To you, does this say the victim is wrong or the victimizer is wrong?

"During the time of the Prophet (saw) punishment was inflicted on the rapist on the solitary evidence of the woman who was raped by him. Wa'il ibn Hujr reports of an incident when a woman was raped. Later, when some people came by, she identified and accused the man of raping her. They seized him and brought him to Allah's messenger, who said to the woman, "Go away, for Allâh has forgiven you," but of the man who had raped her, he said, "Stone him to death." (Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud)

During the time when Umar (raa) was the Khalifah, a woman accused his son Abu Shahmah of raping her; she brought the infant borne of this incident with her to the mosque and publicly spoke about what had happened. Umar (raa) asked his son who acknowledged committing the crime and was duly punished right there and then. There was no punishment given to the woman. (Rauf)"

I work a full time job at nights so it is hard to do activities that make a daily commitment. I thought about volunteering somewhere but all of the places I checked want a weekly commitment and I just am not sure I can do that every week because of my schedule.

Tough topic. But to many, it is very real. I read a book
about a woman, in a church, who went through the
same thing, with false prophets. And they tried to
bring her down, with sickness and disease. Is it
true when they say, it can't hurt you, if you do not
believe ? Some say yes, some say no. I wonder if
there are some on this panel, who are a Wiccan, or
Wizard. Explain what is it that you do. And this question
is for everyone. Whether you have experienced this or
not. There are those who think that this force, can even
affect entire communities, and neighborhoods. Is this
true ? What do you think world ? Do you believe in
witchcraft ? Can it really mess with your mind ?
