whats with the gap between american public restrooms?
(toilets to me but know some find this word offensive)

there is a huge gap between cubicles and there is no privacy,

is anyone else bothered about this?

I found it disconcerting to be in there and people walking past, they could have easily looked. And also the door is at knee/calf height so people could see under.

Also why is the word toilet' offensive in america???

What do you think?

Study: Christianity No Longer Looks Like Jesus

Negative perceptions toward the Christian faith have outweighed the positive as a growing percentage of younger Americans associate with a faith outside Christianity.

Only 16 percent of non-Christians aged 16 to 29 years old said they have a "good impression" of Christianity, according to a report released Monday by The Barna Group.

Common negative perceptions among non-Christians is that present-day Christianity is judgmental (87 percent), hypocritical (85 percent), old-fashioned (78 percent), and too involved in politics (75 percent).

AMERICANS ARE BOMBARDIND THE WORLD WITH PORNOGRAPHY,VULGARITY AND PSYCHOPATIC CULTURAL VALUES YET CERTAIN PEOPLE THINK THAT THEY ARE BETTER THAN INDIANS. INDIANS ARE THOUSAND TIMES BETTER THAN AMERICANS BECAUSE FOR AMERICANS FREEDOM MEANS NUDITY,MISBEHAVIOUR WITH ELDERS WHEREAS INDIANS KNOW HOW TO RESPECT THEIR ELDERS AND TO INDIANS FREEDOM MEANS DEMOCRACY AND RESPONSIBILITY.

Hry everyone, There's this girl who was really nice to me. she knew I practiced witchcraft. And invited me to join a Christian club called first priority. I don't know much about it other than it being christian.

I decided to go, the meeting is today. I brought some research papers. With christians and pagans, compareing them and stuff. So I can tell everyone that witches arent bad and I'm their friend.

what do i need to prepare?

Point out girls to their boyfriends and say "Do you think she's pretty? I think she looks kind of ugly..." ? I say "Straight girls" because lesbians and gay guys wouldn't do it because... Well we can just say when we think someone's hot without asking our significant other.

I'm not saying ALL straight girls do it, but it happens a lot, and some girl said this to her boyfriend today about me when she thought I wasn't listening and I wondered if she would have said that if she knew I were a lesbian and no possible threat...

And why do you have to ASK before posing your thoughts? Why can't you just say "So-and-so looks really ugly..." or "Do you like her, I've noticed you've been looking at her..."?

"Our situation is so uncanny. We have a world that has been shattered by literature, and I think we have to marshall an emotional response, the same response we would have if we woke up in a world tomorrow where all the violence in the Middle East, all the bloodletting, all the wars and threat of future war was borne of rival interpretations of the plays of Shakespeare, where the Jews like King Lear and the Muslims like Hamlet, and they're willing to blow themselves up and perhaps their children over the difference.

That seems like an impossibly bizzare world to live in, and yet that is exactly the world we are living in."

I'm already spending more on this baby shower than I typically budget for wedding/baby gifts - even for family members. Not that I don't want to, it's just that I want to be fair. Am I expected to also get the mom-to-be a gift? Thanks!

Using biblical scriptures:

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky”, (Matthew 24:29-35 NAB)

IF god and jesus are one in the same, jesus would know that stars are burning balls of gas billions of miles away. In other words, since he created it all, he would know that these stars could not "fall from the sky" because stars wouldn't FALL.

Fall to where, exactly? There is no down in the universe.

PS: This is a DIRECT quote from the Lord Your God. To misconstrue his word is blasphemy. So don't give me the "written by people who didn't know."

Do you think maybe some of your answers just might be why atheist think of us Christians in a negative way? When you answer questions or ask questions are you doing it with love? I have seen some Christians on here that are pretty rude, and you wonder why atheist give you a hard time.Don't give me a bad name cuz I am a Christian, and you aren't acting like God would want you to.This isn't to be mean, but we as Christians are suppose to be setting examples.

I understand that these are religious commandments, but sometimes it seems an almost manic need for validation - I'm sure that's not the case across the board, but I've been cornered by more than a few "believers" with this really scary gleam in their eye, only you can't run, 'cause they really do corner you.

Contrast this to the other religions out there. None of my experience with Wicca and the other Neo-Pagan religions, Buddhism, Hinduism or any of the native religions in South Africa (where I'm from) do this. In fact, if you want to find out from a source other than the "new age" section in the bookshop, you have to go looking for somebody to tell you, and even then they make you work for it.

So what's the difference? Why do the "older" religions seem to be more pluralistic and open to different paths, while the young religions seem to act like the Borg sometimes?
