I have to write a three paragraph essay explaining what Qumran and the Essenes were, what the Dead Sea Scrolls are, and why they are important. Any ideas for this? Im not looking for any answers, but anything that can help me out? This isnt in my text book.

I dont mean in a sexual way. I just mean facially. See you sometimes hear straight women say another woman is attractive, but never hear the same from men about another man.

The creation of a baby, which occurs without any creative direction from parents. When sperm from the father unites with an egg from the mother, plans are quickly drawn up in the DNA of the newly formed cell to produce a child. i was raised a christian,sent to sunday school and still go to church now at the age of 37.
all my life i've been told there is but one god.it's occurred to me...why ?.why shouldn't there be more than one ?.
is that such a terrible question ?

for example: -why do bad things happen to good people?
-is fate or destiny real?
-what is the purpose of being alive?

i just thougth that having a bunch of questions in one page that doesn't seem to have reasonable answers would be really interesting.

i also thought that it would make other peoples' mind open to other stuff in life and they would realize that simple questions mean more that what it ask. i don't mean to confuse you.

so can you guys give me some questions to answer my question?..hope it makes sense.

I've lived in Portland all my life and have gone to the basic Christmas stops for all locals...the Grotto, downtown, Pittock Mansion, Pioneer Square, etc...but what I want to know is..what are the best places other than those??

Now not somebody who actually thinks up a cult thats just as credible as any other Major religion; but those who are Christians but believe in reincarnation, or those who have the nerve to say they believe in Jesus but believe in multiple aspects of Buddhism or Hinduism. Do they not realize they are complete hypocrites, who have 2 beliefs that completely contradict eachother?

Does anyone have any experiences to share where you have Astral travelled and met up with a loved one in spirit world?....This has happened to me recently, YES i was supposedly sleeping, but NO this was NO dream. I know I was there and can recall it ALL in minute detail...It was comforting and I know REAL.....Would love to hear from others with a similar experience.

do you belive in god? ok so if you look around and see a painting, who made it? an artist. you look at a watch who was behind that a designer, if you look at anything that has an order to it ex. a row of cups who was behind that an orderer? if everthing has either a designer, artist or an order dont you think somone disigned the world, with art all around us and orders everywhere.
