What is it? Can anyone explain it to me like I am from another planet? I don't necessarily want to know about the most extreme cases, just how it affects people in general. I looked it up on the internet and all I got was either how for families to deal with autistic children or articles talking about autistic people like they were wild animals. I realized that next weeks House MD deals with autism and I know absolutely nothing about it. Is it something you grow out of? I have absolutely no idea. Can someone maybe direct me to a FACTUAL web page, preferably not designed for the parents of autistic children?

Like the ones for house arrest...Then we would know when they were molesting little boys and we could catch them in the act. Then maybe they would get the punishment they deserve.

How many of you were "born in the church" (as in you follow the religion your parents follow)?

How many of you abandoned a previous faith for a new faith? How many faiths? And why?

What about atheists/agnostics, how did you come about?

Personally, I am an Atheist. My family was catholic and sent me to catholic school during my elementary years. My mom is catholic and my dad grew up catholic but has his own "extra" views on religion. As I grew up, we didn't attend church but still had a belief in god. At about the age of 17 my friend and I began attending a non-denominational church because his gf was Christian. At about that age I was "born-again" and recieved Christ into my life. I remained this way until I was 19 when I transfered to college. I grew apart from religion again by not attending church, and studying for my psychology classes I realized that the science world made "more sense" and progressively turned into an Atheist at 21. I am much happier now and feel free.

I truely feel bad for those who can't laugh. Do you just put up with their monotone unresponsive disposition at work or in social settings or do you try to let them experience a modicrum of laughter?

PS: If you try to you are a genuine person. Mean people s t i n k

I wonder if people think I care about what they rate me? If someone gives me a thumbs down, they are giving themselves a thumbs down, and Jesus a thumbs down. Jesus is inside all of us and if we give someone a thumbs down we are giving Jesus a thumbs down.

If you looked at someone, hanging from a cross, would you give them a thumbs down?

Anyways, believe it or not, there will be people out there saying, yup, he is right, and I know this because my brothers are inside me and they guide me and I guide them.

What are some reasons that you believe in god? I'm not trying to offend anyone, I'm simply curious.

And please don't say "how can i not???" I want real, logical reasons.

When people put their money into an offering plate, that money should be used for God right? Then what's the deal with these churches using the money to buy $10,000 red carpet, chandeliers, expensive sound systems, and other stuff that has nothing to do with God's work? Of course the church's bills have to be paid. It should look nice and clean. But it shouldn't look like the Ritz-Carlton! That money could be better spent feeding many many hungry people, spreading God's love, buying blankets for the homeless, and many other ways. THAT's God's work, not buying things to impress other churches, right?
We have one church here that owns an entire city block of buildings. They have TV ads saying they have a place for YOU, they're all doctors and lawyers, and rich people, and the pastor won't even speak to a person he knows if they're not "good" enough. This doesn't seem very Christian to me and it makes me sick the way people give money that should be used for God.It's too common.

There are 2 things I know about Satan:

1. He wears a red Leotard.
2. He wants to cast my wretched soul into a lake of fire, where hellish screams and ghoulish demons torment me for all of eternity.

Question: What can I do to foil his Dastardly Plans?

Also, Sometimes I get the feeling that satan, gods, spirits, witches & hobgoblins are just "make believe". Is satan just playing a trick on me?

When I was about 4 (1969 ) I saw a woman tied and gaged, wearing only her bra and panties, and struggling in the back seat of a moving car. A very vicious looking man was driving with his left hand, while reaching over the back seat with his right hand trying to hit her. Apparently she was able to move too much for the man, and he was trying to hit her to get her to stop moving. My mom and dad were in the front seat of their car passing up this poor woman and her kidnapper on the highway. I remember trying my best to tell my mom and dad what I had just seen, but they were busy in conversation, and therefore ignoring me. The only thing that has comforted me in this experience was that since I saw it, perhaps some adult saw it too, and was able to help ( of course this was before the car phone ). If not that poor woman was likely murdered that day. I still get sad thinking about this experience sometimes.

For anyone out there who is a twin:
What is the stupidest question you've been asked? (one time this kid asked me if my sister and I could tell each other apart)
Does it annoy you when you get called your twins name? (I've just gotten used to responding when I hear either name)
Do you wish you didn't have a twin? (Eh)
Do you fall into the sterotypes of twins, like playing games with people? (My sister and I never had to, people can't tell us apart as it is)
Do you think that people are crazy if they can't tell you apart? (I'm sure that every twin will think that)
Do you have a hard time telling other twins apart? (I normally don't have a problem with it)
Does it make you feel special? (I just feel awkward)
How many other sets of twins do you know? (There were 4 in my class, and I know about 10 sets)

That is all... thank you.

F'd up neighbor?

I have been living in a great apt for 3 years. The landlords son (curly) moved into the 3rd floor a few months ago. His music while annoying doesnt bother me. I had some friends come over a few weeks ago and Curly was working on the house. A few weeks later I saw him and he asked me how my friends were and asked specific questions about the conversation we were having that he isnt involved in. SO two weeks later, I went outside to smoke a cigarrete and out comes curly. He was drunk but so was I and he tells me how great our last conversation was - which he wasnt incolved in. SO tonight around 11pm. I hear this ****** calling out mu name outside the window and 5 minutes later banging on the door. I ignored it and shut off all the lights.
Will this prick stop banging on my door by my ignoring him or whould I tell him to f off? I
