In an article from the Sun, Feb. 6, 2006, Graham Beaton is quoting a Dr. Ephraim Springstein: "Newton’s writings on science and mathematics are well known, but his religious research is less wellknown. His analysis of scripture was every bit as deep and revolutionary as his work creating modern physics and calculus. But it was only within the past MONTH that we understood Newton’s prophecy was not about a distant future date. Using the data in the Books of Daniel and Revelation, he had precisely calculated the year of ARMAGEDDON – AND IT IS DUE TO TAKE PLACE IN 2006!"

Isaac Newton believed that Christ dominates both Old and New Testaments; that all appearances of the LORD in the Old Testament are actually appearances of Christ; that it was Christ who walked in the Garden of Eden; it was Christ who gave Moses the Ten Commandments, who appeared to Abraham as an Angel, who fought with Jacob, and who gave the prophecies to the prophets. http://www.triumphpro.com/2006,_bible_codes,_newton.htm

Look at the level of divorce, the domestic violence, the marriages to get hold of guys money then a divorce, the marriages of convenience to get people in a country or all the forced arranged marriage rape slavery, honour killings, neglect, emotional, physical, mental and sexual abuse of spouses and children and that often from the religious lot...

Look at all the fights over custody and money etc...

All the affairs which occur as marriage is not all that good...

If marriage was that good none of this would occur not due to some moral code, some moral rule or a god or anything... just a case of people would be genuinely happy to stay with the person...

Plus what about those who don’t get to meet a perfect partner at 14, 15, 16, 18. 22. 28. 30. 35 even 45, 55 60 or never what are they supposed to do? level along and hurt and lonely & mess out on all contact and till the emotions and feelings shared between couples, never have an orgasim, or to hold anyone till to old?

Looking at the different responses I got for my last question, I notice that people with opposing views often quoted from the same source - the Bible. So which version is the correct interpretation of God's views? Who has the final say?

It's 2006, but commercials on American TV have barely scratched the "interracial couple" barrier — so it might be the 22nd century before we see a representation of a gay couple in a commercial.

But supposing for a moment that some progressive-thinking company put out a marketing campaign that includes two guys or two women, apparently gay, promoting, e.g. pizza: "Is it delivery or is it DiGiorno's?" Or, say, a Bose stereo — two guys sipping coffee at breakfast, just enjoying the music, for example.

I'm talking about the idea of gay couples in TV commercials, but with nothing sexual going on. No touchy feelies. No innuendo. Nothing even gay-oriented. Just same-sex couples who apparently live together and have comfortable relationships, promoting a product, the same way heterosexual couples have been doing on TV for about 60 years.

Your opinions? Approve / disapprove? Would you protest? Boycott the product? Be supportive? Be indifferent?

Is just subjectively 'feeling' something to be true evidence of anything?
How much do you think it's true that true believers/fundamentalists have an already established unwavering belief and accept people's opinions which back their faith while they reject facts based in evidence which run to the contrary?

Isn't faith just believing without reason, or even in the face of contradictory evidence?

Why is it that Christians often explain their beliefs (especially when it comes to homosexuality) by quoting the books about and writings of Paul (Acts, Romans, Corinthians, Phillippians, Thessalonians), instead of relying on the Gospels of Christ (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John)? Paul never met Christ, and was often at odds with St. Peter, finally breaking ties with Peter (the "rock" on which Christ said His church would be built) a few years later.

If Peter was the rock on which Christ's church was to be built, and Paul never met Christ and broke away from Peter, why does the work of Paul have so much influence over Christianity today compared to the Gospels and the works of Peter?

With the Quran you can throw all of them in the Ocean and in a matter of few days/weeks all the words will be brought back intact, without errors, and mass produced. Why because millions of people have memorized the Quran and it is in the hearts of millions. A miracle of a book over 1400 years old!!! There is no VERSIONS of Quran in Arabic. There are different types of translations to get the meaning of the arabic but no versions of the Quran unlike some other books. In fact, I know a 8 year old girl who memorized the whole book from cover to cover and she does not a native Arab.

My question is...If you took all the Bibles and Torahs and throw them in the vast ocean. Would you be able to bring back the same Bible or Torah back to the world without any mistakes and errors???
