It's obviously difficult to do this via this text box, but if you grab a sheet of paper and a pencil and try to do the following:

- Draw a square
- Inside the square make an X so that it takes up the entire box (touches the corners)
- On each side of the box, make an arc from each corner (the bottom of the box would have something that looks like 'U', the top would look like 'n', etc)

Overall, it should look like a 4 leaf clover with a box in the middle, containing an X.

Now that you've drawn it how it should look, the obejct is to draw that exact design, but without lifting your pencil or retracing an already drawn line (you can cross over them, you just can't draw over the same exact line already made).

A math teacher gave us this puzzle when I was in 8th grade (1985) and I've still not been able to find an answer to it (either why it can or can't be done).

let RxR be the lexicographic product of the group R, set of reals.
(a,b)<(c,d) iff a< c or a=c and b Show that any monotone sequence in RxR has a limit.
You can use that the same property holds in R.

Next month I am going to attend IB program. In the future, I want to be a very good Electro-mechanical Engineer; there are three subjects that I am not quite sure which one of them should I choose? They are Economics, Mathematics &Computer Science, and Biology.
I have to choose at least one of them; or maybe two. However, I do not want to choose all of those three subjects. I am going to choose Chemistry (Higher Level), Physics (HL), and Mathematics (HL) including English and Danish as Language.
If I choose all of those three subjects as I mentioned above. Plus these other subjects that I going to choose. Wouldn't it be too many subjects?

Would anyone give me a good idea? In addition, please give me your reasons.
PS. If you are not quite sure what, please answer.
Thanks,

An earth satellite in circular orbit 1250 kilometers high makes one complete revolution every 90 minutes. What is its linear speed? Use 6400 kilometers for the radius of the earth.

The radius of the magnetic disk in a 3.5-inch diskette is 1.68 inches. Find the linear speed of a point on the circumference of the disk if it is rotating at a speed of 360 revolutions per minute.

Any help at all will be greatly appreciated. You do not need to answer both to be chosen as the best answerer. I know that linear speed = arc length/time & arc length is equal to radius times theta. I'm just not sure how to put it together to get my answer. Please help me.

And to those who game for points, don't tell me to do my own homework. I obviously have hundreds more of these and need help. I didn't ask for someone to do my homework, but specifically for some help. So please, if you're going to put "sfjkfdsl" as an answer, save yourself some time and ignore this question. Thank you& have a nice day.

Has there ever been a case where someone observed the absence of everything or zero? Growing up I always heard that outer space was a void, meaning it was devoid of anything. Later in life I learned that even in "empty space" there is energy which is why the lowest measurable temperature is some 3 degress above absolute zero (uh oh I just used it). So if we look everywhere and find there's always something even if that something is almost immeasurable, does it make sense to have a concept such as zero in our system of mathmatics? Suppose the concept of zero is a flaw, might it be part of the reason scientist today are unable to unify quantum mechanics and general relativity?

Find the point where the graphs of f(x)=x^3-2x and g(x)=0.5x^2-1.5 are tangent to each other; that is have a common tangent line.

Use you knowledge of the derivative to solve this problem. write out a complete solution with explanation.

I can see it in the graph but am unsure how to come up with the solution and what work is required. I know f'(x)=3x^2-2 and g'(x)=2(0.5x)
