The numbers are subscripts! Can some explain to me how you can determine whether one is acidic, basic, etc and how to do the problem ? thanx!

Q1)is it covalent bond(sugar) or ionic bond(salt) that absorb energy faster ? energy come from ice which ice is polar covalent.
