For homework, my teacher asked us to draw a molecular orbital diagram. He did not give us any specific details on what they are or how to draw one. Our textbook is completely void of any explanations that make any sense whatsoever. I was wondering if someone would take the time to help me out.

I AM NOT ASKING YOU TO DO MY HOMEWORK FOR ME, but just to help me out a little, explain what i am supposed to be doing so i can do my homework.

Any websites that you think would be helpful in explaining that would also be greatly appreciated.

I have read the post about the chemical equation for making formalin, but I have been trying to come up with an actual working equation for mixing up my own formalin solutiuon from a 52% formaldehyde solution,100% methanol solution, and water. It never seems to come out right, I think there must be some sort of solubility issue that makes my equation invalid. Anyone have any suggestions?
