Heh, weird question, I know, but I noticed that when I was shaving my legs, and it is also on my arms. :P And I'm wondering if it is because one side of my body gets more blood than the other or something. :P

I'm talking about biological evolution here, for brevity's sake - the theory of common descent of all living creatures. I just want a reasonable reason to question that evolution is the best guess at what happened.

me and my friend have this argument. is it possible to eat things to make a poop that has absolutely no smell? he says it is because not everything smells. but i disagree because everything you eat does smell so there should be smell coming out. also i learned the smell comes from the e. coli's in your intestines, and everyones are different, which is why everyone has their own "brand"

I just want to make it clear that I am NOT a creationist. I'm a theistic evolutionist and am just genuinely curious about what a good response should be. I want to be able to argue FOR evolution in an effective way.

Creationists use the following examples to prove that evolution is false: http://www.creation-museum.net/fossils/index.php

Hare Krishnas also make a number of claims about archaeological "cover-ups". What do you make of them?:

http://www.forbiddenarcheology.com/ (This website makes weird claims about modern man-made objects being found in millions of year old rock)
http://krishnascience.com/6_Coverups_1.html

Please try to have at least a brief look at the websites, because it is this type of claims that I'm interested in an explanation for.

This is a question for evolutionists, NOT creationists, so please don't reply with "Evolution is false" or "That ain't true, coz the Bible done say so..." I'm not interested.

As part of the Human Genome Project, researchers are determining the nucleotide sequences of human genes and identifying the proteins coded by the genes. Labs on the U.S. national Institutes of Health, for example, have worked out thousands of sequences, and similar anaylysis is being carried out by many private companies. Knowing the neucleotide sequence of a gene and identifying its product can be useful;this information might be used to treat genetic defects or droduce life-saving medicines. The U.S. law allows the first person or research group to isolate a pure protein or a gene to patent it, whether or not a practical use for the discovery has been demonstarted. THe NIH and biotechnology companies have applied for patents on their discoveries. What are the purposes of a patent? How might the public benefit? What kinds of negative impacts might result from patenting genes? Do you think individuals and companies should be able to patent genes and gene products? why or why not?
